Dr. Donato attended Loma Linda University in California and graduated with baccalaureate degrees (BS) in respiratory therapy and health science.  Later, he completed his master of physical therapy (MPT), clinical doctorate of physical therapy (DPT), and culminating to a doctorate in science (DSc).  He is a fellowship-trained orthopedic manual physical therapist with emphasis in spine rehabilitation, and is board certified in orthopedics (OCS) and hand therapy (CHT) and has over 28 years of clinical experience.  He is certified in dry needling (CIDN) by the American Dry Needling Institute, and is also certified in strength and conditioning (CSCS) by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).  He is also a practitioner in the use of Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM) therapy in managing acute and chronic pain syndromes.  He is the director of the Riverside Physical Therapy Orthopedic Residency program.  He is the founder and director of Virtual Live PT, a web-based online physical therapy center that provides telehealth physical therapy or virtual online face-to-face physical therapy evaluation to clients in the state of Oregon.
